Audio/Visual Stand___________________________

This is the entertainment center, where I have all the options (upstairs, my wife just wants picture and sound, so I get to tinker). My interests are:

• DXing- AM, FM, and TV
• Audio
• Satellite
• CDs
• Online music

Here's what I did for the equipment:

The stand was made from salvaged 1x10 planks, with some of them sawed lengthwise, so I could make ~13-1/2" deep shelves.

Most everything in the garage is on wheels, including this stand.

Left side, top down:
Drake R8
Onkyo T-4711 tuner
Onkyo T-9090II tuner
Channel Master 9571 wireless rotor controller
Pioneer VSX-D812 receiver (used as preamp)
Philips DVR
Yamaha RX-V795a receiver (surround speakers)
FIOS DVR

Right side, top down:
Radio Shack A/V switch
Sony XDR-F1HD tuner/Insignia Digital TV decoder
Home made A/V switch
Sanyo EQ
Sharp SX-9700 power amp (main speakers)
Panasonic VCR
Onkyo EQ35 EQ
(Logitech Harmony 520 remote)

The speakers are AR Connoisseur 30s (mains), AR-2AXs (surrounds), and an AR2 (subwoofer), all wall mounted. The TV is set on a large lazy Susan, on top of the stand.

April '10: I just added a Sharp SX-9700 power amp. It's pretty honking big, and I'd like to know more about it. If you have any information, email me at cfa at alt dot net.

September '10: Added an Onkyo T-9090 II tuner. It is everything they say it is. It is more sensitive than the Sony XDR-F1HD.

May '11: Added an Onkyo EQ for the surround amp (Yamaha).

This is the antenna farm.
