While waiting for a transmission mount to come in, I fabricated an alternative. It was halfway between a solid metal mount and the factory mount, I'm guessing. Nothing but the OEM mount gave me that smooth ride.
The old mount shell is used to support the new piece. I originally set the new mount on top of the crossmember, but the transmission sat way too high.
Here are the components:
A and
B: large washers
C and D: halves of Anchor mount part number 2780
C sits under the metal mount; D sits on top of the mount
E: large washer for the top of D; sits just under the transmission
The bolt is a head bolt cut to length. It's a 12mm by 1.75 thread pitch.
